Apparently Sacki thought the vote was yesterday and not next Tuesday, assumed Obama won, and thought he could sleep in today. No dice. Maybe next Wednesday. Please please please, next Wednesday.
As for Prickly City - ugh. Stantis takes on ACORN, with unhilarious results. So Winslow got registered to vote a bunch of times - so what? Is he going to vote more than once? Not likely. But whatever - it gives conservatives a phony controversy to whine about since they know their candidates are horrible. Get used to it - the next week will be "Obama did X!" and instead of talking about what really matters, Obama and his supporters will be forced to spend all their time talking about X. Pretty much like it's been for the last few months. Oh well - hopefully the deep hurting will stop soon. For all our sakes.

I Myself Celebrate Smithers' Birthday
Oh great. I get stuck with the Pat DiNizio birthday strip this year? For those of you new to Prickly City and Shrubville, Scott Stantis is a fan of The Smithereens so every year he has an entire strip dedicated to his idol. This time around Winslow suspends his campaign to celebrate - even though he said he was suspending it earlier this week because he wasn't invited to the presidential debate (why would that matter? Carmen WAS invited to the VP debate and they just didn't let her in).
Mr. Stantis, I don't know The Smithereens. The Smithereens are not a band I listen to. So you, sir, can waste a Saturday talking about them, since I don't care. At least you're not trying to rile up the lynch mob like McCain/Palin, so I'll happily take a strip about a washed up "rock" star instead.

Around the country this morning, I imagine this exchange is taking place...
CHILD: Mommy - Mommy - why is Charlie Brown's head exploding??? What's going on? Is he okay?
MOTHER: What are you reading? (takes the comics section) Oh, don't read this garbage honey.
CHILD: Is Charlie Brown dead?
MOTHER: Charlie Brown is fine. You know your Uncle Steve? And how he's always saying stupid things to upset you, like that John McCain is a maverick and Sarah Palin is a good choice for Vice President?
CHILD: Uncle Steve smells like beer.
MOTHER: Yup. Well Uncle Steve likes this comic strip. He would think it's funny that something bad happened to Charlie Brown.
CHILD: Why?
MOTHER: Because he's a jerk, honey.
CHILD: Ohhhh. So Charlie Brown is okay?
MOTHER: Yes dear.
CHILD: Good. I don't like Uncle Steve or Prickly City, Mommy.
MOTHER: I know hun - nobody does.

Hump Day
Oh, yes. Going to find Carmine today, they are. They being Winston and Von. Von, who will be gone next week, while Carmine will be back. They can never be seen in the same place at the same time, Carmine and Von. Coincidence? Or will Scantis have Von be mysteriously turned into boner powder by those inscrutible Chinee?
