No More Yankee For Your Sacki

TODAY'S STRIP

How impressive. A sly commentary on how the Chinese are undermining the American economy and politics, given our enormous financial debt owed to them. (Sadly, it appears that colored comics are among the first casualties of the new regime.) Could've used a bit more subtlety than "Ching Ching" to denote this takeover, however. At least there's no "This is what Stantis thinks Dems are saying except that they're really not" look on Winslow this time. Small change, people. Small change. Little steps.

You know, I once again have to ask the obvious question: why is it that Stantis doesn't seem to know how to draw Winslow with any consistency after all these years? I mean, he's one of two characters in a daily strip which he's been drawing for several years now, and yet look how misshapen he is in the first panel. For God's sake, the little thumbnails of him decorating the front page of this blog show a better grasp of the character than does the work of the man who created him!

I'm going to be sad to see this site go, if only because I'll have to stop reading the strip. I really only follow it to keep up with what you guys are commenting about.
