I am a conservative. A quality I am afraid the GOP has not shared in a while. And by conservative I mean smaller government, lower taxes and a strong defense.Over the past decade the Republican Party has pretty much turned its back on all of these principals. What is about to happen to them in this election is earned. We pay more in taxes, the federal government is the largest it has ever been and the military is stretched to the breaking point.
I am not so delusional to think that the democrats will reverse this trend but I do hope that the republicans time in the wilderness will force reflection and recommitting to their core values.
