A Javelin to the Brain

TODAY'S STRIP

It's the Opening Ceremonies in Beijing and Carmen, who has inexplicably taken the trip with Winslow, who was apparently let-go from the Chinese Torture Prison in time for the festivities, refuses to carry the People's Republic of Prickly City's Thong Flag.

Got it?

Good. Now that we're all on the same page, let's all gouge our brains out in unison.

Oh I know - try wrapping your mind around the logic that Winslow voted for himself to carry the flag, but when Carmen (unknowingly) voted for herself, Winslow cast the tie-breaker for her - even though he had already voted for himself.

To try and make it clearer:

Winslow: votes for Winslow
Carmen: votes for Carmen

Tiebreaker: Winslow votes for Carmen

So why didn't he vote for her in the first place? Oh I know, because STANTIS SUCKS BALLZ.

Furnace - It's as simple as the math behind Barry Mohammad Obama being called the "Democratic Presidential Nominee" (even though he's only received 1,765.5 pledged delegates while needing 2,117 to win).

Is this some updated version of the Prisoner's Dilemma?

Frame one:
Winslow: Here's the flag, Carmen.

Frame two:
Carmen: How come I have to carry the flag?
Winslow: Because I was turned away at airport security yesterday, so I can't go to Beijing.

Frame three:
Carmen: Did you pick a fight with the TSA agent?
Winslow: All I did was point out to him that the next terrorist will try a belt bomb, not a shoe bomb.

Frame four:
Carmen: Well, it was worth expanding the Federal government, increasing the deficit, and taking away rights if it keeps us safe!
Winslow: That's why you're the best person to show the flag. You still believe this crap.

Um, Sacki, you're forgetting the 478 super delegates.
