Crocs > Flip Flops

SYNOPSIS OF TODAY'S STRIP
Winston, the Liberal clown coyote, holds yet another press conference (podium message: 'Down Swinging'). In this press conference, he cites his adoration of the Montreal Expos as his favorite baseball squadron, and after questioning from the nameless MAINSTREAM MEDIA reporter, amends his answer to the Toronto Blue Jays.

CONSERVATIVE TALKING POINTS TOUCHED UPON
Liberals are always with the flipping and the flopping, mixing in the lies like oatmeal and raisins and walnuts and chocolate chips in an oatmeal raisin walnut chocolate chip cookie.

WHY IT'S FUNNY
Liberals can't make up their dadgum minds 'bout nothin'! They should take some lessons from the greatest president of the 21st century and be more resolute. This guy is the decider.

Comments

Hey, remember me? I'm that guy who used to leave a few comments a week here and eventually branched out into my own blog about PC.

Some of you (okay, probably none of you, but still...) have surely been wondering where the hell I've been in March and April. After all, I haven't left a comment here at Shrubville since early March sometime, nor have I posted a Tumbleweedtown entry since March 18th. Where have I been? What have I been doing?

To be perfectly honest, I've been right here, with the exception of a brief trip to Boston. I haven't blogging or commenting partly because I've been more busy than usual and partly because of a general burnout on PC. I've been reading this God-awful strip for so long now that I couldn't stand it anymore. It's terrible. It's annoying to read. And writing about it only has so much potential for humor, especially considering the repetition and lack of interesting material that Stantis churns out. So I did what all of you wish you could do: I stopped reading it. I stopped writing about it. And although I made a few attempts to catch up early on, I even gave up on those.

CJo, the Furnace, and Sacki all have it kind of easy, frankly. They usually post 3, 3, and 1 days a week respectively. Posting 7 days a week is actually kind of hard, and I found myself having a hard time coming up with good stuff to write. A was hoping a little more interesting material would be slipped into PC to rag on, but nope. Same old, same old.

So here I am now. I hope to return to the comments here and get Tumbleweedtown back together soon. I also hope to add a second blogger to kind of ease the burden, such as it is, of writing a blog about the crap that is "Prickly City". More to follow.

CJo, Furnace, Sacki, keep up the great work!

Good to have you back, C from TT. Sure it might seem like we have it easy, but good loard, having been at it since Sept. 2004 it's like death by 1,000 paper cuts. If you do decide to get back on the horse, I'd advise either working the system with partner(s) like we have here, doing it every other day, or perhaps branching out and hitting up a different comic strip once in a while. Get a fresh set of eyes on it. Anyhow, PC delenda est.

Yeah Chris - welcome back. The nice thing about having 3 of us is that we can all phone it in, and then justify it by saying "well Furnace is phoning it in, so why can't I?" At least the political landscape should give you a bit more to talk about with things getting further along in the primaries.
