Dare To Be Stupid
What the fuck am I looking at here? Is he seriously calling out Ziggy? What the hell is that about?
Even if Ziggy (like I see implied here) sucks, sucks long, sucks hard, and/or sucks often, nevertheless that comic has the common courtesy to be one panel, so no matter how wretched it may be on a given day, it's not much to mull over. Whereas certain strips, and I won't name names like Prickly City here, blow long, blow hard and blow often in extended play.
It's like Weird Al Yankovic. You might find "Eat It" amusing or disgusting, or just be flat out indifferent to that particular song. But it's merely a single and when it's over, it's over and you move on, like Ziggy. Whereas if you were made to listen to the entire album containing "Eat It" you'd have to plow through 11 tracks of some rather stupid and somewhat repetitive material that might send you into a murderous rage.
So, in conclusion, Prickly City: has a bad beat and you can't dance to it.

After having completed today's entry, I've encountered no less than four (4! and I might be forgetting one, even) references to Weird Al today on the interwebs. Ridiculous.
