A Visit From Weird Al

TODAY'S STRIP

Hi, kids out there in Shrubville-land. I was reading through the Dr. Demento list-serv when I saw I was referenced at your fine website. Groovy.

I thought I'd contribute a little song about John McCain I've been working on, inspired by Scott Stantis' line, "McCain has gravitas and the fogeys."

I call it, "Way Down Upon the Johnny River, or, Old Folks Should be Committed to a Home."

[Cue Stephen Foster music]

[Enter me, Weird Al, in blackface]

Way down upon the Johnny River,
Let's bomb Iran
That's m'only chance of winning ever
With that and the old folks, I can.

All up and down the whole damn nation,
Angrily I roam
Still longing for the old plantation
For that would keep Obama home

Chorus:
All the world could use some bombing everywhere I roam
My friends, how my heart is growing weary
Far from the old folks at The Home

-----

Well, that's all I'm willing to share of the song. I'd post more but I'd hate to rile that Sacki guy with too much Weird Al.

Keep up the good work, Shrubville.

Warmest regards,

Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic

PS: You can buy a new copy of "UHF" on DVD for $4.99 at Amazon! Please, people, I'm hungry.

You know what's fun? Comparing the sales rank of other shitty merchandise to Stantits' own book:
