Zip It

TODAY'S STRIP

The ink wasn't even dry on this comic strip before Bill was yanked back into Hillary Clinton's campaign's pants and zipped-the-fuck-up, only to see the light in special, controlled situations.

I don't want to get too endorsement-y on you'all, but as you may (or may not) have gleaned by reading these pages my colleagues and I have differing opinions of the Democratic Presidential Candidates. The Furnace was an Edwards man. Sacki split his time in a Kucinich/Gravel sandwich. I have been and will continue to be for the big B.O.

And reading Prickly City on a daily basis further seals my vote for Obama. We really need to move beyond this back-and-forth, tit-for-tat, partisan hackery bullshit.

I will put my money where my mouth is. (And this might be great incentive for us all [Ahem, Sacki!] to get out the vote tomorrow and beyond...)

If Barack Obama is our next president, the last entry of Shrubville will be on January 20, 2009.

Make it happen, people.

With Edwards out Obama is getting my vote (although not in the Illinois primary - I hate that you have to declare a party). But considering Scott Stantis proudly wears his racism on his sleeve and still has this job, I don't think this country is ready to elect a black man or a woman, unfortunately.

Amen, CJo. My primary also is on Super Tuesday and I fully support Mr. Obama. He will make an excellent president.

"If Barack Obama is our next president, the last entry of Shrubville will be on January 20, 2009."
Really? Well, I for one would miss Shrubville, and keep in mind that Stantis will still be doing PC. Of course, the whole dynamic would be changed. Instead of Stantis defending the president and you attacking both of them, you would be attacking Stantis, who would be attacking the president, who you'd be defending. (In the likely event that a Democrat gets elected, of course.) Interesting.

Voting? That's so old-politics. I thought you guys were about change, with your iPods and YouTubes and Mocha Lattes. Man, so cynical, giving into the system like that...

I'm in the Obama camp and have been since the summer of '03, when I went to a fundraiser for his senate campaign and walked away impressed.

I'm in Chicago, where everyone is now his best friend forever, which fascinates me. I have not hear people talk trash about him here, nor have people turned on him yet. And Chicago always turns on its celebrities, as poor Liz Phair knows all too well. (And that was even before she decided to become the Avril Lavigne of the soccer mom set. Sheesh.)
