FBI wiretaps cut off due to unpaid bills

TODAY'S STRIP

And what happened in-between the intervening month and eight days that prevented Stantis from tackling this story?

And much like the rest of the media, Stantis leaves out that little word "illegal" when talking about those wiretaps.

Ahh... J. Edgar Hoover. Now there was a guy who knew how to spy on American citizens AND pay his phone bill.

And you can be sure that Stantis was imagining J. Edgar not just in a dress, but also with a thong underneath.

Once again, "Prickly City" is the complete opposite of timeliness. In fact, one month and eight days might be the longest gap to date between a story and its inclusion in "Prickly City," except one of those times when Stantis dug up some obscure five-month-old survey to try and prove a point. Of course, if we were to include last week's series about how immoral Bill Clinton is, that would be an entire decade late. Talk about a failure to be timely.

I'm just waiting to see if Stantis will join Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh in bashing McCain for not being a "true conservative," even as both George Bushes are calling it absurd.

So, I had the opportunity to talk to both of my surviving grandparents and both my grandpa, a registered independent aged 88, and my grandma, a registered Democrat aged 84, will be voting for Barack Obama -- in the Wisconsin and North Carolina primaries, respectively. Who says Hillary Clinton's sweeping the older voters?

My grandpa's reasoning when choosing who to cote for (as an independent):
1) Not Hillary because that she would govern together with her husband and who wants that pervert back in the White House? (He voted against Bill Clinton both times.)
2) Not McCain because he'd continue the war and the war is one huge mistake. (He thinks there's no chance that the draft will get reinstated because there's no chance that McCain will get elected.)
3) Not Huckabee because who needs all that religious crap in the govenrment? (He's an atheist.)
4) Yes for Obama, because of his positive mentality for change and because he's against the war.

Last but not least, I want to tell everyone about former Shrubville commenter Charles Brubaker's new comic strip, "Baitu," which will be published every Tuesday in the student newspaper at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where Charles is a student. It looks pretty good. More plus a link to it at Tumbleweedtown:

And sorry about the double comment earlier.

Screw that Brubaker dude.

P.S. I think he fetishizes Stantits. Look at his latest blog post, w/ a pic of a "Prickly City original artwork", and his description:

"Prickly City" by Scott Stantis, published in May 29, 2005. In contrast to the Edison Lee original, this is very small, drawn to fit on standard legal size paper. Scott sent this to me as a "thank you" gift of sort. Thanks to you as well, Scott.

What exactly did he have to do to get a thank you? Act as the only online supporter of PC?
