The Fallout from Honkygate
This is a Honkygate reference, pure and simple.
I'm not sure why Stantis is taking on his bosses at The Birmingham News, as clearly no one took the fall for Honkygate. Scott is still scribbling and hacking away at his his political cartoon for the paper. (By the way, hilarious strip on Fred Thompson. I'm serious.)
Unless someone got fired that we don't know about. An online editor or Toby or something. If anyone has any news on this, please let us know.

What's interesting is that the real controversy surrounded the paper's website since that's the only place where the honky comic appeared. Will Stantis point that out, or just bite the newspaper hand that feeds him and his family yet again? Considering he slams the newspaper editor today, it looks like the latter.

It was interesting to see Stantis's "perspective" on the Honky Cartoon Incident, even as more PC news emerges:
The Billings Gazette newspaper has added two more comics to their lineup, meaning they have added six this year. One strip was "Pearls Before Swine," which replaced B.C. Anyone want to take a guess at what the other strip that was added was?
If you said Prickly City, you'd be right. Seeking to maintain balance on their editorial page (aka the only reason why PC is in any papers), the Gazette has added the conservative PC to its editorial page, where it joins G.B. Trudeau's Doonesbury. Why the change? Well, apparently their old conservative counterweight, Mallard Fillmore, needed a rest, according to an article published in the Gazette. Anything's better than Mallard, it seems -- yes, even Stantis.
But I haven't gotten to the hilarious part yet! Reading the article, you will find that the writer refers to PC's Winslow as "Wilson." Don't believe me? Go see for yourselves.
So now he's Winslow in the strip, Winston in the podcast, and Wilson in the news. And PC is somehow in another paper.
Somehow, life goes on.

Ah, PCNF, it's back to Winslow. Someone came along and edited the darn thing. Why doesn't someone come along and edit PC one of these days, too?

Oh, wait, no, I see that the Billings paper has the same "editor" that Scottie does, because the writer uses both Winslow and Wilson to name Winston.
Oye.
