Head Wide Open

Scott's psyche is splitting as wide as the gulf between the left and right sides of Carmen's hair. The dude must be absolutely cracking up. What a thrill it is to witness it!
His previous forays into rebuking the current administration have been toothless and cute. More ribbing than cutting. But Scott's actually shown some bite this week. There's nothing scarier than a lapdog who turns on his master.
It should be interesting to see how it plays out.

In tears, since that backbone that magically appeared will disappear in the same way.

What are those "stink lines" swirling behind Carmen in the first panel?

I agree, after that crap with Winslow's campaign, Stantis has suddenly turned out two ferocious anti-Bush/Cheney strips. I'm impressed... this stuff is much more heavyweight than what he's been turned out so far this year.
I also thought that the punchline yesterday (Carmen: The implications are huge! Winslow: Yes...I should be running for vice president!) was right on the mark and very clever and funny.
I applaud Stantis for finally taking a big stand on something.

The question though: will Bush have to be down to a 13% approval rating before he talks big about him too?
