Dirty Dirty Simulricks
There once was an intellectual runt
Who, faced with 4-and-1, would always punt
He'd complain and complain
About the Celeb Media game
Whilst slavering over Britney's bald head
*****
There once was a sniggering prude
Who found worship of celebrity quite rude
But when push came to shove
He too found that he loved
To metaphorically fondle Anna Nicole's story
*****
A man once had a conservative comic strip
Which never caught on; was not a hit
With nothing to say
He'd search for a way
To mention a diaper full of astronaut steamy emails

Gee, you'd think if the economy was doing so incredibly well Stantis would spend an entire week bragging about it.

Oh well, the Anna Nicole and Britney jokes were inevitable. Because for a guy who claims to abhor the popular culture of celebrity gossip, Stantis sure seems to enjoy following it a lot.
But he's not the only guilty one. I don't have a problem with other people being fascinated with celebrities, but personally I'd rather ignore it all. I don't give a damn about what these celebrities are doing on any given day, nor do I give a damn about who they're dating, nor do I give a damn about what kinds of rehab they've been checking into. But you know what?
I still hear about it. It's unavoidable in the media. And there are always going to be people gossiping about that sort of stuff, so Stantis could do well to quit complaining about it.
And he's a hypocrite for doing so. I bet he could tell me how many men claim to be the father of Anna Nicole's kid, or who won the battle over where to bury her, etc.
Quit complaining, Stantis.
And by the way, how awkward was it to read those strips about the soaring economy that were penned two weeks ago ONE WEEK after the stock market crashed?

Hey everyone,
I just watched the new South Park on Wednesday about the use of the N-Word; it made fun of the MIchael Richards Incident specifically.
Was there ever a Prickly City series about that incident? I'm betting there was, it seems like the kind of thing Stantis would mock.
Thanks.

Stantis was out injured when the Michael Richards thing went down. One of the guest artists had a lame strip about it weeks later:

What makes me proud is that our regular commenter Charles (who I haven't seen around lately - hope everything's okay) actually sent the link to the guest artist to get his reaction. Made my week.
