Everyone Else is Doing It So Why Can't He?

TODAY'S STRIP

Last time we checked in with Winslow's political career, he was going to run against Carmen for Mayor of Prickly City. But alas, Stantis dropped that idea like the gigantic, hot, stinking turd it was. So now Winslow thinks he can parlay his 1-day mayoral campaign into a bid for the presidency with the slogan, "Winslow: Now, More Than Before!" which makes no sense to me, but at least is catchier than "Bring 'em Young for Romney" or "Hot Cox in '08" or "Protect your White backs and Greenbacks with Brownback."

How much time do you think Stantis spent coming up with Winslow's slogan? Ten seconds? Twenty? It simply doesn't make any sense. I like how he left out which party's nomination he's running for since even Stantis doesn't know if Winslow's a Democrat or a Republican anymore.

Nixon's re-election slogan was "President Nixon. Now more than ever." If Stantis collects political memorabilia or has a good memory for detail, it took him less than 10 seconds to come up with this.

Nixon was funnier.
