I'll Send an S.O.S. to the World

TODAY'S STRIP

What's up with the overlong arms? Winslow in Panel Three has morphed into a disco-suited sloth. And if you were to unfold Carmen's arms in Panel Four they would extend beyond her toes; she would literally be a knuckle-dragger.

As for the text of the strip -- the "topic" if you will -- I'll be honest: I didn't bother reading it. What's he harping on now? Technology as a fad? Small-size poodles as a fad? Bejeweled cell phones as a fad? Death as a fad?

Someone please wake me when the current events have washed up on Stantis' lonely little deserted island.

I didn't see the disco reference coming. Because nobody makes disco references anymore, I should have known that's what Stantis would use.

He's apparently talking about something that most people noticed MONTHS ago by now, but even then...

So yeah, Stantis' his usual "topical" self.

I don't get it. Isn't Winslow supposed to be the liberal? But isn't it the Republicans, specifically the Bush administration, that goes forward no matter what the facts are? Like in Iraq?

Today's Dilbert also had an adopt-an-African-baby gag, but it was actually amusing and fit the characters. Maybe because Dilbert has characters, not mouthpieces.
