Mighty Mighty
After setting down that he has a valid reason why he'd want to be adopted by Angelina Jolie, and allowing us for two nearly blank panels to let the obvious thoughts cross our minds, we're left with the sickening thought of Winslow creating his own butter for his "mother."
I think I saw this one already in Oedipus Rex Morgan, M.D.
In the DVD version of this strip, coming out before Christmas, the alternate soundtrack even includes Earth Wind & Fire in the background as Winslow puts his sick fantasy to paper.
I'm longing to love you
Just for a night,
Kissing and hugging and holding you tight
Please let me love you
With all my might.
Speaking of reasons, what's the reason for there not being an "Air" in the band? Did I miss the 60 Minutes where Andy Rooney gets to the bottom of that mystery? First person to explain it to me wins the right to adopt me.

Remember that "South Park" episode where it showed that "Family Guy" was written by dolphins picking random pop culture references from the bottom of a tank? That's wbat came to mind after reading today's PC. "Hmm..what's in the news today? Celebrity adoptions and trans-fats! Yeah, I can work with that!"
And the picture of Winslow chewing his pencil is frightening. To quote Mike Nelson of MST3K fame: "Don't you ever do that again!"

Uh oh - you don't want to bring up South Park and Family Guy in these parts. Can get you yelled at, like it did me when I said Family Guy wasn't funny at all to me.

Truly, the only reason I read this blog is to wait for Family Guy references, the inevitable disparaging of said show by The Furnace, and then to start yelling cuz it really is funny!
