TODAY'S STRIP

You'll have to pardon my lack of zest in tackling this week's New York Times storyline. I'm just having a hard time taking it seriously. If this dumbass Stantis (or anyone else for that matter) really truly believes the New York Times published "secrets hurtful to our cause" and "secrets that help people who want to kill us" and "secrets that give aid and comfort to our enemies" then what's the fucking point in trying to counter that. The argument comes from a diseased and deranged mind.

And if he doesn't really believe the Times committed treason but he's still suckling at the talking-points teat to win back any "conservative" fans who may have been put off by his many many waffles and mixed messages then what's the fucking point in trying to counter that? The argument comes from a diseased and deranged soul.

To sum up: Stantis sucks: he can't draw; he's not funny. Repeat.

Re: diseased---it's prolly syphilis, doesn't that make you go mad and then kill you?

Or is that just the optimist in me?

The syphillitic holes in my mind are astounding at this moment.

-Dislike the Red Sox.

-Dislike the New York Times, 17% owner of the Red Sox.

-Dislike Prickly City, written by Scott Stantis, who dislikes the New York Times, 17% owner of the Red Sox.

-Dislike Johnny Damon, who left the disliked Red Sox, 17% owned by the disliked New York Times, for the Yankees, who are disliked by the New York Times.

-Wop dee doo: brilliant.

I'd argue with that, but I won't. I just won't.

Uh, I was quoting the "he can't draw" bit in that last comment, BTW. Didn't show up for some reason.

It's a hackneyed criticism of Stantis -- he can't draw; he's not funny -- said specifically to piss him off, since he constantly harps on that in his podcast. I'm saying something that I know isn't true to ruffle feathers and to fan the flames of my "audience." Does that sound familiar?

CJo--do you still listen to every podcast?

I know you started out strong-willed and strong-stomached, but I can't believe you can still listen to that crap!?!

OH yeah...forgot about that stuff he said in the podcast.

One thing that caught my ears in the latest podcast was that last Saturday's strip was eventually corrected at the last second and sent off to newspapers, but not all got the note.

So my question is, which newspapers ran the corrected version? I'm curious.

I can't believe that the New York Times' decision not to run the first illegal wire-tapping story before the 2004 election didn't buy them a longer grace period with the right wing. Where is the civility in this day and age? Give me a popsicle, sir, and I shall refrain from slapping your face at least until said popsicle is eaten.

Did Stantis apologize for the Congresswoman McKenna thing? I mean using the wrong name - he'll never apologize for making lame jokes three months after the fact.

Hehe, yeah, he apologized for the McKenna thing (yep name only, not the lame joke). He said that Toby didn't proofread that one.

Is Carmen picking her nose in the last panel?
