Low Ebb, High Tide

TODAY'S STRIP

CJo's recap of the hilarious assortment of t-shirts worn this week got me to thinking - what have I been up to?

May 4: Confess to not reading the strip on a regular basis
May 11: Rehash the recap of the Monday-Wednesday strips by CJo and tack on a hackneyed attack at Sheehan.
May 17: Reference Furnace's entry and tack on a hackneyed attack at cartoon character Carmen.
May 18: Reference Quadrophenia, West Side Story, The Outsiders, Stand and Deliver, and Twelfth Night. And tack on a picture of Ratt.

If I don't watch myself, someone's going to start a Sackville site and start complaining about me. And I'll be the first in line.

As far as today's strip: I don't get it. Do you?

Seems as though since Stantis is getting attacked on all sides he figures he'll just strike back at everyone who's lived for the last century. Hey Opie/Stantis, there's one great invention you might want to look into: PANTS.

Good point, Furnace.
He should be less of a strike-backer and more of a loverboy. We all know that everyone's working for the weekend -- not living for the last century.

Sacki, I see you read Zorn's blog, too. It sounds dumb, but I pared down my daily blog-roll to Zorn, Shrubville, Justin Kaufmann of Schadenfreude, and a legal site.

I don't get it either, especially since I sucked at History class.

But I do wonder, if Stantis will turn this "gem" into a P.C. strip

Yes, Fred, Mr. Zorn can be an amusing fellow, one of the best in Chicago, although I don't mean that in a "damning by faint praise" way that it can also be taken.

And thanks for keeping us all abreast of Mr. Stantis' handiwork, CB. I hope we do get to see that editorial turned into a Shrubville episode. Professional babies?!? That's a hilarious idea.

Yay! The Sacramento Bee killed PC!!

(Of course, they replaced it with Mark Trail.)

Mark Trail!? Geesh, I rather have Prickly City.

At least the creator of "Prickly" is still alive...
