You S T I N K

Ah, yes. Gloating. The face of the modern-day Republican party. For a group of people -- generally speaking -- who are so afraid of indecent sex acts, they sure know how to RUB YOUR FACE IN IT.
Of course, you can't have the gloating without its antececent: Unadulterated Outrage. HOW DARE THEY QUESTION THIS GREAT MAN. HOW DARE THEY 'MAKE' HIS WIFE CRY. HOW DARE THEY THREATEN A FILIBUSTER...IT'S...IT'S...UNAMERICAN.
Bitch and moan about us powerless, liberal losers. Then gloat because we're powerless, liberal losers. And then thanks to Scott we know the next step: Unadulterated Outrage ---> Gloating ---> AFTER GLOAT!
After-Gloat: Splash a little on your face after gloating. Smell like a major-league asshole for years to come.

Word.
Someone needs to explain to Stantis that you can have a successful political comic strip, but it's best to deal with general concepts instead of time sensitive issues such as, say, the confirmation of a judge that people forgot about as soon as it happened. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the majority of people think his name is Scalito.

Is she going to have those tumors on the left and right side of her face from panel one checked out? The sad fact is that she's probably already a goner if they're that large, but if she set up a good personal health savings account, she may have a fighting chance.

I remember reading some liberal elite publication that said "pride goeth before a fall". It even labelled pride as a deadly sin! I'll bet this Jesus that Carmen learns about in her faith-based homeless shelter has a completely different take on it, though. I'll bet he says "Gloat over your enemies. Blessed are the warmongers. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for married homosexuals to enter the kingdom of heaven."
Ah, yes, it's another day in George Bush's America!

Thanks Annie - if Stantis continues the Alito storyline tomorrow I'm going to borrow your bit.
