Scooby Doo Can Doo-Doo But Jimmy Carter is Smarter

TODAY'S STRIP

What a perfect Day-After-Thanksgiving strip by Mr. S! It's a STALE LEFTOVER! How appropriate. I suppose after going to the Clinton-Kerry-Kennedy Joke Well too often it was only a matter of time until he came up empty and had to turn to History's Greatest Monster. And he does it all with inexplicable unicycles!

Can you imagine the TEMERITY of a U.S. President asking Americans to conserve energy?? For that, he should be mocked twenty-eight years hence. That'll show him! Compassionate conserva-tion, my foot.

I know! The audacity of trying to make of less dependent on foreign oil. Those poor Saudis... just trying to make a living.

It doesn't even mention the synfuel program to make more than enough gasoline from domestic coal that Carter wanted 25 years ago. Reagan's administration put an end to that.

Jimmy Carter's accomplishments as President (courtesy of the Carter Center): Panama Canal treaties, the Camp David Accords, peace treaty between Egypt and Israel, the SALT II treaty with the Soviet Union, and the establishment of U.S. diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. He also championed human rights throughout the world. On the domestic side, the administration's achievements included a comprehensive energy program conducted by a new Department of Energy; deregulation in energy, transportation, communications, and finance; major educational programs under a new Department of Education; and major environmental protection legislation, including the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act.

Accomplishments of the Bush II administration?

Makes you want to weep.

Hey, W has...um...lemme see here...he did good after 9/11!

Of course hid for several days, staged a photo op (complete with audience plant) on the rubble of the towers, and then waited a month to go after Osama...and he might have been able to prevent the whole thing if he had listened to all the warnings.

But the guy did survive a pretzel attack - isn't that worth something?

Damn - at least his dad puked on a guy.
