Identity Crisis

TODAY'S STRIP

Yesterday, stupid silly liberal Winslow failed to heed the begging, pleading neo-con Carmen's warnings - and paid the price. Today, Winslow can barely ask for help, and it's only days later when Carmen notes that he hasn't moved in days - just like Homeland Security.

I got nothin'.

What am I supposed to say about this crap? Carmen, a neo-con, is completely without compassion about Winslow's dire situation - very much like her own government. But then she criticizes that same government by going after FEMA and Homeland Security. Whaaaaa? Couldn't he have thrown Dio in there as a third voice so these characters could actually be faithful to their personalities? On top of that, it seems like it's a little too soon to try to milk laughs out of a national tragedy while they're still finding bodies.

Why don't we make use of the comments section today. In what other ways could Stantis be political and humorous this week? Yeah yeah, I know he'll never be humorous - but what other topics could he tackle that wouldn't make light of the Gulf situation? I'll start things off: CNN.com rewriting Hurricane Katrina news stories so they favor the government now when they slammed it when they originally went up. Granted the hurricane is in there, but it's about the media.

What else have you faithful Prickly City readers got?

Although Stantits likes to keep it on a national level, since the Trib carries his editorial cartoons regularly now, he should be fucking commenting on Chicago/Illinois shite.

If he were, he might be making fun of ole shit-mouth mumbler George Ryan, a Republican in name only.

Or maybe the feds questioning of Mayor Daley and Gov. Blago about corruption, both Dems, unfortunately.

Or even the fact that none of those pork projects have been eliminated to help pay for either the war or the fucking hurricane.

I know? How about a comic about how the grandfather feels sorry about the Katrina victims but isn't too happy when a cousin of his from NO shows up at the door? Or maybe one about how the president doesn't want people playing the blame game, unless he can blame other people? Or maybe one about the thuggy friend who gets released from jail as part of the town's preparations for an influx of evacuees?

Of course, these story lines have already been taken by the Boondocks, Doonesbury, and Candorville - funnies that are funny in the old style. Our Scotty promised to be funny last week, so what we are seeing is the new-style funny.

Topics that might be handled well by this new style of funny include how fat Michael Moore is, how ugly Whoopie Goldberg is, and how radical Hillary Clinton is.

We want Dio! Okay, hmm... what else could Stantis have done?

Maybe he could've done a week where Carmen praises John Roberts for saying absolutely nothing, when Winslow thinks he's faking it?

It's been over 2 weeks: Carmen's Ode to Rehnquist Week! It all concludes with a Winslow-really-really-wants-to-fly-Saturday.

The Gaza Strip pull out: Silly liberal Winslow thinks it's a step in the peace process. Mini Coulter mentions that Hamas claims it was all due to terrorist violence and suggests that we "...invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity."

Flavor of the week media criticism: Winslow wonders, where did Cindy Sheehan go? Carmen says the media is focusing on something more important now, when Winslow says there's nothing more important than bashing Bush! He's so silly.

California approved gay marriage, which for Scott is the same as bestiality. Winslow races against time to Cali to marry his love Condi before Arnold "terminates" the bill.
